Breakfast made in batches makes for more enjoyable mornings.
Good ole Bob and his Red Mill creations. He grinds a mean flax meal and now he’s come out with a delicious hot cereal made from rice, corn, and buckwheat. Plus, it doesn’t take an hour to cook like those steel-cut oats.
Measurements are not included, because it’s more of a suggestion than a recipe. Need more protein? Add extra protein powder. Prefer almonds and dried cherries? Use those instead. The best way to reheat a portion is to warm a little soy- or nutmilk in a small pot then add the cereal.

I love Bob’s products. This does sound like a good one, especially because it lacks the hour cooking time!
It’s got this great consistency that’s different than the usual suspects (grits, oatmeal, farina). Why I’m cooking hot cereal when it’s 100 outside is another story….
